New Bible Study Series Started
Hey crew. I just started a series of forum posts that will follow the excellent book by Scott Hahn called Understanding the Scriptures. I managed to get an autographed copy when I pre-ordered the book before it was published and I am now going through it. As I read the book and study the scriptures I will be posting answers to the study questions and notes on each chapter. Feel free to follow along with me and post your thoughts in the forum.

Hey, my household sister’s husband, Carson, has been running an “Understanding the Scriptures” podcast feed. It follows this book and has a lot to add as well. I do own the book as well, but regardless if you have the book or not, the podcast is really good. The only problem with the podcast is that as Carson is basically recording his lectures to his parish bible study class, the first few episodes he has some members read sections from the bible and you can barely hear them. If you turn it up, you can hear most of it but when Carson says anything it blows out your eardrums. He’s got two more chapters to do so anyone can go at their pace.

I have used this book as a resource in our RCIA program when I taught the Economy of Salvation. I used the chapter paralleling the old testament covenants and their fulfillment in Christ. It was very well received. Keep up the good work.
